In 1995 the first of The Man From Snowy River Festival as we know it, was held in the town of Corryong. It was a big idea for a small town and nobody would have ever imagined that it would grow to what it is today, 22 years later. There are a numerous people that can take credit for making this Festival possible year after year. On behalf of the Man From Snowy River Board I would like to express our deep gratitude: To all our volunteers and community groups , who work tirelessly during the year, and work so hard during the Festival weekend. And after the Festival the clean up starts! To all our sponsors, who make it possible for the Festival to become bigger and better every year so we can keep improving infrastructure and contribute grant money back into the community. To our competitors, our vendors and exhibitors, for raising the bar every year and make this a unique Australian Bush Festival. To the 2017 Festival Board and Staff for taking on the responsibility for putting on this Festival. It takes many meetings, discussions, working bees, and great organisation. It is not always an easy task. Thank you for putting your hand up and for supporting me this year. Everybody in the Corryong and the Upper Murray should be immensely proud of this unique Bush Festival. Thank you all for coming to the Man From Snowy River Bush Festival, I hope you enjoyed your experience here in Corryong and I wish you a safe journey back home. See you all next year!
